Continuously striving to be one of the best independent wealth and asset management companies, SYKON Capital is committed to helping clients achieve their financial goals and preserve their legacy for future generations.

SYKON Capital was founded with a vision

to not only offer unparalleled solutions for our clients, but to completely align our values with theirs. We are limited only by our creativity and ingenuity, two attributes that are fueled by our independence – because we are now free from the archaic mentality of managing to the least common denominator that plagues today’s brokerage culture.

From our offices in New York and Florida, we work with clients across the country to deliver a highly differentiated experience – one defined by our relentless commitment to serve their investment needs and improve the performance of their assets.

By investing alongside our clients, we demonstrate our confidence in our disciplined rules-based investment process.

As a result, we enjoy rewarding multigenerational relationships that appreciate our discretionary approach to investment management designed to provide reliability, consistency, and predictability based on prevailing market conditions.

We were early advocates of ETFs and remain thought leaders in the wealth management industry with the creation of our Biologically Adaptive Portfolios. These strategies are rooted in academic research from the fields of behavioral finance and economics and are built to accommodate documented behavioral responses to financial loss and gain.

“Sykon” is the Greek word for fig -- a fruit that has long been associated with knowledge and creation, as well as with peace and prosperity.

In fact, it is believed that the fruit on the Tree of Knowledge in the Garden of Eden was likely to be a fig, not an apple.

We are also inspired by the banyan tree, a type of fig tree that develops accessory trunks from massive roots, allowing the tree to spread outwards indefinitely. The roots of the banyan tree illustrate our belief in the importance of family, while the continuous growth represents the creation of wealth and prosperity across multiple generations.

By choosing the name SYKON, we aim to honor these rich symbolic associations and to convey our commitment to helping our clients achieve long-lasting legacies of success and prosperity.

How will the launch of your new firm affect me directly?

First and foremost, you will continue to benefit from our proprietary quantitative portfolio management process and wealth planning to help you secure your financial well-being and build your legacy.

Access to a Broader Thought Leadership Environment:
As an independent, privately owned firm, we are not limited to offering thought leadership and advice from just one institution. This enables us to tap into top-tier research and advice from a diverse range of financial partners, with the aim of fulfilling the evolving needs of your family.

Exceptional Client Service:
With your best interests as our only agenda, we will continue to act as a fiduciary. We take a multigenerational service approach in order to develop a deep understanding of your values and goals as we help create your long-lasting legacy.

What will change?

Your day-to-day experience with us will not change. Your account holdings and fees will remain unchanged. However, an important decision underlying the launch of SYKON Capital is our selection of Charles Schwab as our custodian. Schwab is one of the largest and most trusted custodian firms in the country, and we chose them for their technology and service capabilities. The transfer of your accounts to Charles Schwab will not create a taxable event.

Why wasn’t I told sooner about your decision to launch your own firm?

We would have preferred the chance to discuss our plans with you earlier, but legal obligations and contractual limitations barred us from doing so. As investment professionals, we are dedicated to upholding such agreements, despite the personal difficulty of not being able to converse with you ahead of time. We trust you understand our commitment to follow the industry’s rules.

How do I know my assets will be safe with the new custodian?

The safety and security of your assets is of critical importance to us. With that in mind, and after a rigorous due diligence process, we selected Charles Schwab as our custodian based on their technology and service capabilities.

The U.S. government has deemed Charles Schwab one of the country's nine systemically important financial institutions. We are incredibly impressed with the measures Schwab takes to protect client assets, and we are reassured by their strength, size, and reputation in the industry. One of the largest and most trusted custodian firms in the country, Schwab administers $8 trillion in total client assets.

Will the way you manage money change in any way?

The fundamental approaches we employ for managing your assets will remain consistent, and naturally, our investment management solutions will always be customized to suit your risk tolerance, time horizon, and long-term goals. However, we will be enhancing certain features such as our interactive financial planning and expanding our access to a wider range of thought leadership, as mentioned in Question 1.

Banking Products

What about my existing banking services?

You won't have to relocate your banking accounts as a part of a transition to our new firm. Being independent now empowers us to scout the marketplace for options that are on par with or superior to your existing ones, if necessary. We can guide you towards the most suitable banking relationship that specifically meets your needs, be it with a local, regional, or national bank.

Client Service

How will I view and access my assets once they transition to my new accounts?

Once you log in, you will have the same type of access to all of your accounts and the ability to utilize services as you have been accustomed to. You can also install the Schwab app on your phone to view your assets, view activity in your accounts, and perform services such as depositing checks into your accounts.
